Dating Sim information: last updated: 6-13-2003 Friday, 4:43am

I've came up with a cool project formyself to learn php and mysql. I though "hey, I know..why don't I create a dating sim to learn!". So that's how it came up. No, this sim isn't anything professional like peachprincess games. This is all amature work, BUT, stories are unique, and this gives you a chance to submit your very own stories or if you love to write!!

Also, myself as a artist, I'm looking for other artists who enjoy creating characters and back grounds.

Okay your probably wondering what stuff do I want? Here are a few questions that have been asked of me from a few people:

    What types of relationships?
Any kind, I don't mind as long as it's tasteful, also it has to go along with the story ;)
    Who would you prefer for characters?
cliche high school kids, college students, what ever you can come up with. IF it's hentai, characters have to be 18+
    What would you disaprove of?
I'd kinda like to steer away from the hentai, mainlly because most audience will be underage and we Americans already have too much hentai access compared to just regular sims like Tokimeki Memorial. BUT, if you have a story that you'd love to see in action ^_^; go for it, submit it to me.
    Is this both a male and female dating sim?
I would love to see some games with a female main character. It would take a little longer to create a game with both genders, but since I'm accepting multiple stories, make on with a female character! But of course, even me, I play dating sims that has male characters and I don't mind, so whatever suits you.
    How many characters do you need?
The more characters you have, the long it will take you to write, hmm, I guess probably the average of what most dating sim/visual novel games have. Also that depends on you, you're the writter, I have no problem with the amount of characters. BUT you have to write it. And of course we have to find will character designers.
    What area and time do you want this place in?
ANYWHERE, seriouslly, it can be the cliche (setting in japan) or here in America! I'd love to see some original games that would be set in America so we can relate to them, of course a few dating sim players love the ethnicity of it being from Japan, so whatever makes you comfortable to write about.

    Artist Infomation:

Myself will contribute to some character and back ground design. I'm searching for willing artists for character design and BGs. Doesn't matter what medium you use (I suck at CG) but as long as it's clean looking, also I'd like to have the finished producted saved as a .PNG file. WHY? Because I'm a fan of open source. ;)

Now, usually this is how it will happen. I will have to wait for someone to contribute a story, then I send the willing artist the charcter info and of course the artist will then design the characters.. pretty much the same with the back ground artists. :)

Writers, this project is kinda simple, there will be not special items to pick up to win the character.... ^_^; it's actually gonna be like one of those "choose your own adventure" books, here is a sample: love_by_starlight
